Eight Killed, Including Two Children, in Shooting at an Erie Home
A 45-year-old man shot and killed eight people, including a 1-year-old girl, a 5-year-old boy and a pregnant woman, at and outside a home in Erie, Pennsylvania, on Friday evening, October 9, then apparently shot himself, police said, Reuters reports. The victims also included three other women and two young men; police said the man was related to seven of the eight. Officers arriving on 911 calls found two women dead outside the home.
Police Chief Rick Lorah declined to discuss a motive and said investigators would talk with other relatives and examine the victims' phones. Police described it as a domestic-related shooting. News Unc does not name or show images of people accused of mass shootings unless it is needed to understand the story.
